Thomas Jones is a professional classical saxophonist located in the Dallas/Fort Worth cities near Mansfield, TX. He is an active performer and music instructor. Performance experience includes full orchestras, wind ensembles, classical chamber and solo music as well as rock and jazz bands. Thomas Jones is a member of the Arlington Community Band and maintains a harp/saxophone duo and a saxophone quartet. He is an alumni of The Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, where he had the privilege of studying with renowned saxophone professor Gary Louie.
In addition, Thomas holds degrees from The Johns Hopkins University in the Recording Arts and Sciences and a Masters in Audio and Acoustics. He enjoys extensive experience in professional sound system design, architectural acoustics and audio recording. Thomas is also a composer and producer electronic music under the name of Console Fade.
Thomas offers saxophone lessons at all skill levels and ages. He enjoys teaching and promoting the wonders of both the classical and jazz repertoire. He stresses the importance of excellence in musicianship, quality of sound, instrument maintenance and music theory to round out each student's musical education.
